The EV Infrastructure Grant for Staff & Fleets

Perfect for small to medium businesses (SMEs)

This grant is designed for businesses with fewer than 250 employees who want to install chargepoints at their workplace for staff or company vehicles. It's great for offices, warehouses, or mixed-use commercial sites.

What you get

Up to £15,000 per site toward chargepoints and infrastructure
Up to £500 per parking space fitted with EV infrastructure
Up to £350 per chargepoint socket you install
Can be used across up to 5 sites (so £75,000 total potential support)

Are you eligible?

You’re an SME with less than 250 staff
You own or lease the site (and have permission to install)
You’ve got at least 5 parking spaces, and you’ll install at least one chargepoint
You haven’t already claimed other grants on the same chargepoints
Your installer (like Fit Solar!) is OZEV-approved

The Depot Charging Scheme (DCS)

Ideal for larger fleets, logistics, and transport depots

This one’s aimed at businesses or local authorities running fleets of electric vans, HGVs, or coaches — and needing proper depot infrastructure to keep them charged and moving.

What’s covered

Up to 75% of your installation and infrastructure costs
Up to £1 million per organisation
Includes chargepoints, groundworks, cabling, and smart energy systems
You can bundle multiple depot sites under a single application. Think big — this grant is built to scale.

Who can apply?

You run or plan to run at least one electric van, HGV, or coach
You own, lease, or have permission to upgrade your depot site
Your project hasn’t started yet (no digging until approved!)
You’re operating in the UK (excluding Channel Islands/Isle of Man)
Your installer (like Fit Solar!) is OZEV-approved

Their was a few issues mixing 2 different versions of FOXess batteries, but with there help all fixed. Nothing was to much trouble for them. A1 company. Lee

  • I was recommended by a friend to approach FitSolar for a quote to install a ten-panel solar system having already obtained quotes from four other local and national firms. Mark Chandler came out to our property to offer friendly advice with no pressure on committing to going ahead with an installation. Mark was very patient in providing a number of quotes for different variations including whether to include batteries to the system or not and how many. The quote that we proceeded on was I consider a fair price, not the cheapest and not the dearest. The installation was carried out by friendly employees, and nothing was to much trouble re agreeing how and where to install the panels and batteries. After the installation ‘both’ Marks visited to inspect the installation and to explain how to manage and monitor the panels and the energy they provide. They mentioned that they monitor all their customers systems, so should an issue arise, which is not expected, they would pick it up before the customer. Highly recommended.
