Project Quick Facts
Mr. D achieved a 6-year ROI with a seamless In-Roof Solar integration.
- Location: Bristol
- Installed: November 2023
- System: 30X JA Solar Panels, GSE In-Roof Trays, Solis Inverters, FOX ESS Battery Storage
The Challenge
Blending Power with Architecture
When building a new home, energy efficiency isn't just a luxury, it’s a strategic investment. Mr. D approached Fit Solar to integrate a renewable energy system that would blend perfectly with his home's modern architecture while slashing long-term utility costs.
The Solution
Integrated Solar Technology
For this project, we moved away from traditional "on-roof" racking. To maintain the sleek aesthetic of a new build, we utilized GSE In-Roof Trays. This allows the solar panels to sit flush with the tiles, acting as the primary roof covering.
Maximum Efficiency & Energy Freedom
By powering 86% of his home with free solar energy, Mr. D has drastically reduced his reliance on the grid. With 38% total grid independence
The Results
Financial Independence
By combining a large 30-panel array with Fox ESS battery storage, Mr. D has effectively "opted out" of high energy prices.
